When traditional gravity separation and flotation are insufficient for handling low-grade and difficult-to-process scheelite, chemical beneficiation, with its precise control over the mineral's chemical composition, has become a key technology for the efficient recovery of tungsten resources. It can not only process high-grade concentrates and middlings, but also extract high-purity tungsten from low-grade ores, achieving "turning waste into treasure."
Caustic Sodium Leaching Method
Features: High selectivity, can completely decompose scheelite, but has limited effect on impurity decomposition.
Application: By adjusting process parameters, scheelite with different characteristics can be processed to produce products that meet standards.
Soda High-Pressure Leaching Method
Principle: Adding excess sodium carbonate during leaching forms a coating layer on the surface of gangue such as calcite, inhibiting their decomposition and thus reducing the impurity leaching rate.
Case Study: In a polymetallic tin-tungsten mine project in Kyrgyzstan, this process, combined with physical beneficiation, achieved a WO₃ recovery rate of up to 95% in scheelite concentrate.

Advantages: Decomposition rate can reach 99%, effectively removing soluble gangue such as carbonates and phosphates.
Optimization: Adding chelating agents such as polyphosphates during hydrochloric acid leaching can significantly increase the leaching rate of low-grade scheelite concentrate to over 99%.
Efficiency: The reaction rate of fluoride ions with scheelite is much faster than other alkaline solutions, resulting in a faster leaching speed.
Chemical beneficiation is the "ultimate weapon" in scheelite beneficiation technology. Xinhai Mining can customize combined gravity separation-flotation-chemical beneficiation processes according to ore characteristics to maximize resource recovery and economic benefits for mines.
In the field of scheelite beneficiation, gravity concentration has become the preferred solution for the separation and pre-tailing removal of coarse, medium, and medium-sized scheelite due to its advantages of "simple process, low cost, and environmental friendliness."
High-gradient magnetic separators, flotation columns, high-frequency vibrating screens, and centrifugal concentrators are four core pieces of equipment. With their high efficiency, energy saving, and precise separation advantages, they have become the "hardcore equipment" for scheelite mine development, comprehensively solving the beneficiation challenges of low-grade scheelite.
