With the rapid development of modern mining technology, intelligent automatic beneficiation systems have gradually replaced traditional manual operation modes. There are essential differences in production stability, operating cost, recovery rate and management efficiency between the two modes, which directly determine the economic benefits and development level of the concentrator.
Traditional manual operation relies heavily on workers’ experience. Links such as feeding amount, grinding concentration, reagent dosage and flotation time are adjusted artificially. Due to human error, fatigue and subjective judgment differences, production parameters fluctuate greatly, resulting in unstable concentrate grade and low overall recovery rate. In addition, manual operation requires a large number of on-site workers, with high labor costs and high safety risks in harsh workshop environments. Manual statistics and data recording are prone to errors, making production management difficult to refine.
In contrast, automatic beneficiation plants realize full-process intelligent control. The system automatically monitors ore feeding volume, pulp density, pH value, reagent dosage and flotation status in real time, and dynamically adjusts parameters according to ore changes. The whole production process maintains stable and precise operating conditions, which effectively improves mineral separation accuracy and greatly increases concentrate grade and metal recovery rate.
Automated operation also brings obvious advantages in cost control and safety. It reduces on-site labor demand, lowers long-term labor and management costs, and minimizes safety accidents caused by manual misoperation. All production data is recorded digitally, which facilitates production analysis, process optimization and standardized management. In conclusion, automatic beneficiation is more stable, efficient, safe and economical than traditional manual operation, and has become the inevitable development trend of modern mineral processing industry.
Chromite beneficiation primarily employs a combined gravity and magnetic separation process, which is currently the most mature and efficient technical approach. The complete workflow encompasses crushing and screening, washing and desliming, gravity roughing, magnetic cleaning, and concentrate dewatering.
Flotation is one of the most widely applied beneficiation methods in gold processing plants, and it is used far beyond gold. It is the standard route for ores in which gold occurs in highly floatable sulphide minerals, and the concentrate it produces carries the gold into a copper or lead concentrate from which the gold is subsequently recovered.
